XXVII- Underwater Prisoner Transport

This was a project for Advanced Drawing called "How Fly is your Ride." We had to compose a piece of a creature riding a creature basically and have to make them look natural together. Don't know where my head was on this piece but I do love how it came out. Photoshop CS3 with Wacom Tablet.

XXVI- Game Cover Art

This was for my "Advanced Drawing" class where we had to design and create a game cover, a poster, and a convention banner (kiosk). This is the game cover art work of my main character from my game/comic concept "Grim Nocturnal." Photoshop CS3 and a Wacom Tablet.

XXV- Hawkeye Pierce

This was a sketch I did to work on my portraiture to better myself and this was the result. This is one of my favorite characters Hawkeye Pierce from the hit 1970s series M*A*S*H which is one of my favorite shows.

XXIV- Fire Mage

This is a piece I did for fun and for an ethnicity study because the mages (a human race who possesses powers of the elements) all have these different ethnicities. For the fire mage I wanted to channel a Native American look so that was the look for this piece. Photoshop CS5 using a Wacom Cintiq.

XXIII- 2D Animation Final

This is a short animation done for my "2D Principles" class. I did it of a Dark Wings character done in Adobe Flash CS5.

XXII- Sculptures

These are all my sculpture projects from my sculpture class. The first one is a single box project so I decided to do a treasure chest made from cardboard and super sculpey. The second is the three box project of a mouse, who is about to be eaten by a bird, who is about to be eaten by a dinosaur all made of britsol board, feathers, fur, textured felt, and super sculpey. The third is the wire project where I did a dragon wing. The fourth is the super sculpey figurine done of a Dark Wings character "Mika." The fifth is the creature clay head that I did using oil based clay of the fawn from "Pan's Labyrinth." and the last one was the final where we had to do another figure and I did two characters from Dark Wings fighting using super sculpey.

XXI- 3D Building

I took a 3D modeling class and one of the projects that I did was to make a crazy looking building. I am not a huge fan of character modeling but I do really enjoy architectural modeling. Done in Autodesk Maya using a reference image.

XX- Dark Wings Cover

This was a cover concept for Dark Wings that I did in my "Graphic Novel & Comic Building" class. I designed the title type, used a dynamic pose, and very awesome color and texturing.

XIX- Animated Logo

With the stop motion project we also had to create an animated logo and this is what I came up with. I designed the logo myself using photoshop and the "sword" sound was one I found on the computer (if anyone knows where it came from please let me know) and the music is mine that I put together in GarageBand.

XVIII- Purse Party StopMotion

I took a class called LOAF (Language of Animation & Film) where we spent the entire quarter working on a stop motion animation. The concept I went with was for the objects in my purse would come out and dance to the "Spice Girls" when I wasn't looking. The film itself took about three days (give or take a few hours), and involved a camera, tripod, a small table and large chairs, a white sheet, a couple of lights, and of course my purse with all it's contents. I put the shots together (which were like 2000 maybe more) on AfterEffects CS5 and cleaned it up using iMovie.

XVII- Perspective Projects

One of my first classes at the Art Institute of Colorado was a class called "Perspective and Proportion." I ended up creating 10 pieces in the class but I only had three favorites. The first one shown is the "Icy Clock Tower" project done in 3 point perspective. The second piece is my most favorite of the perspective pieces called the "Dark Congo" project where we were supposed to do it in multiple perspective and we had to put a TARDIS in it. The third was supposed to be in 2 point perspective and had to either be hobbit hole/fairy tale looking or old western... I decided to do both. And the last one was our final for the class and it was a free for all (any perspective any subject), and I did a Persian themed city. Done with .7, .5, and .3 size graphite mechanical pencils on 17x14 Bristol Boards.

XVI- Lock and Loaded

A fun piece I did that started as a sketch and then I photoshopped it. This is a fan art piece of (if you haven't already guessed) Harley Quinn from the Batman series wielding an RPG-7. A fun pose and was really fun to put together. Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Tablet.

XV- Disney Princess Series

These are a part of a series I did purely out of boredom at I was going to compose them into a calendar but I never got the chance. They were meant to be a little odd but some of them ended coming out pretty cute. This was also an experiment for ethnicity studies cause I wanted every princess to actually look like their ethnicity (skin color, eyes, hair). Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Tablet.

XIV- Dark Wings Characters

These are a couple of characters from Dark Wings. The top one is one of the supporting villains Selaina who is a Blood Mage. The second one is a supporting character Arukmis Wingates who is a Fire Mage. Mostly did it for posing characters. Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Tablet.

XIII- Dark Wings: Zodiac Series

This was a time consuming but very fun series I did of the zodiac possessed characters in my webcomic Dark Wings. This was an experiment on straight digital painting (meaning without line work) and a great way for me to play with the zodiac's color combinations. I used all 12 for a 2010 calendar. There is a whole lot of information on each of these which can be viewed on my DeviantArt zodiac gallery. Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Tablet.

XII- Fay of the Earth and Fay of the Air

These was the start of a series of four elements from another comic that I had been working on. The first being Earth where the colors are green (a main color for earth) and her style is very medieval looking donning a pair of Fairy Wings. The second being Air where the colors are yellow (typical of air) and her style is very Japanese looking, donning a pair of bird wings. I still have to do Water and Fire but I may redo these ones as my style has changed since these were done.

XI- Grim Nocturnal

This is an old cover concept for another comic I have been working on. The story of a NYPD detective that finds out that he is the new Grim Reaper and is has to deal with it for the rest of his life or the balance of life and death will fall. I love the color choices I used in this piece and I love the background even more. Photoshop CS3 and a Wacom Tablet.

X- Dark Wings Cover Concept

This was a cover concept for Dark Wings that I did about a year ago. I really wanted to do something where all the colors blended together well and were almost the same except for his eye which is a vibrant blue and the purpose of that was for his eye to stick out. This was also one of those opportunities to put in texture from a photo taken of my bathroom counter (wouldn't have guessed that huh?). Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Tablet.

IX- Rudin Sunset

I did this piece as chapter art for my webcomic Dark Wings. This was the art for Chapter 2. The two characters are watching the sunset of their home land which is a calming thing for them to do after battle. This not only was for the benefit of my comic but also for me to experience drawing landscapes. Photoshop CS3 and a Wacom Tablet.

VIII- The Flame and The Sea Queen

These were part of another DeviantArt challenge this time started by my sister Lauren. The challenge was to draw yourself as 50 different things and the first one was to draw yourself as a superhero and then as a pirate and so forth. I really like the poses and the shading in these pieces and I really like the background of the pirate piece. Photoshop CS3 and a Wacom Tablet were used for both of these.
